Account Executive - Online Advertising

Title: Account Executive

Location: the Rubicon Project HQ in West Los Angeles


Responsibilities:
  • Source campaigns for Rubicon's global publisher clients by building and expanding relationships with the industry's top advertising networks
  • Match traffic with ad network partners based on geographic/contextual/demographic targeting, impression volumes and eCPM performance
  • Manage all facets of the sales cycle including prospecting, negotiating, and closing
  • Identify and evaluate new inventory placement opportunities within Rubicon's existing publisher clients
  • Mentor junior team members on sales strategy, techniques and execution
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-4 years online advertising sales, either for an ad network or large branded publisher
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, technologies and pricing models
  • Excellent understanding of ad network dynamics and campaign buying and planning
  • Strong knowledge of ad campaign metrics and analysis
  • Superior skills in all facets of the sales cycle including prospecting, negotiating, and the ability to sell based on value not price
  • Understanding of audience profiles, online ad targeting, and campaign optimization
  • BA/BS required
