the Rubicon Project Expands into Hong Kong with the Appointment of Former Google Exec

Jayne Leung recruited to be Director of Publisher Development, Asia

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – October 20, 2009 –the Rubicon Project, the Internet advertising infrastructure company, expands its global reach with its first hire in Hong Kong, Jayne Leung as Director, Publisher Development, Asia. The opening of its Hong Kong office comes shortly after the announcement of its Sydney office in August 2009.

Leung reports to Kaylie Smith, Managing Director of Asia Pacific, and is responsible for strategically supporting publishers in Asia to help them optimize and monetize Internet advertising inventory, and in growing relationships with ad networks in the region.   Leung has an extensive career working with online publishers, previously having worked with Smith for a number of years at DoubleClick before joining Google in Asia Pacific.

“In order for us to continue to build our international presence and help educate the market, we knew it would be important to have someone physically in Hong Kong to engage with both publishers and ad networks. I’m really pleased Jayne has joined the Rubicon Project.  She brings a depth of expertise and knowledge about Asian markets that is second-to-none,” says Kaylie Smith. “Her insight and passion for the business makes her the perfect addition to help us tell our story of delivering what online publishers have wanted for years – the ability to monetize unsold advertising inventory.”

“Through my experience in this market, I’ve watched the rapid growth in online advertising in Asia Pacific and now, through market maturation, there is the opportunity for both publishers and ad networks in the region to really capitalize on demand for their inventory,” said Jayne Leung. “I’m excited to work for a company that is providing the tools and platform to make life easier and more profitable for publishers and ad networks across Asia Pacific.”

the Rubicon Project recently debuted REVV for publishers™, a comprehensive technology platform that empowers premium Web publishers by giving them complete control and visibility to best manage their direct and indirect inventory to match every impression with the highest paying demand source. Combining technology, tools, access and integration, REVV for publishers marks an expansion beyond Ad Network Optimization to deliver a complete Yield Management Optimization solution to premium Web publishers.
