Dr. Vijay Mehrotra has been a management consultant and analyst since 1987, specializing in the analysis and improvement of business operations (his recent clients have included Intuit, Charles Schwab, and Texas Instruments). Dr. Mehrotra received his Ph.D. in Operations Research from Stanford University and a B.A. in Mathematics, Economics, and English from St. Olaf College. Over the years, he has been invited to lecture at several major Universities, including Cornell, Berkeley, Purdue, Stanford, Tulane, Calgary University, and the Technion in Israel. Dr. Mehrotra was the co-founder and CEO of Onward Inc., a management consulting firm specializing in the application of mathematical models to significant business problems (their clients include Intuit, Cisco, Charles Schwab, Hewlett Packard, EDS, and Advertising.com).
Since September of 2003, Dr. Mehrotra has been a faculty member in the Decision Sciences department at the College of Business at San Francisco State University. In this role, he teaches undergraduates from throughout the University as well as MBA candidates within the COB.
