Mallory grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area where she developed a love for the ocean and the Oakland A's. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2005 with degrees in Communication and Political Science. After college, Mallory joined Teach for America, a movement dedicated to bringing educational equality to students in low income communities. The program relocated her to Los Angeles, where she taught 6th grade in South Central LA and completed her Master's degree at Loyola Marymount University. Mallory currently lives in Santa Monica and is still trying to figure out what lies east of the 405.
